Were you able to go on vacation and take a walk on the beach this
summer? Did you walk down a path this Fall and take notice of the beautiful
changing leaves? The theme of this years' Women's Advance is "The
Seasons Of A Woman" - the seasons of worship and intimacy in the lifelong walk with our
Savior here on earth.
| Winter: | Rest in the Lord |
| Spring: | Spiritual Renewal |
| Summer: | Hot! On Fire for the Lord |
| Fall: | Harvest, Mature, Ripe for the Lord to use us and to be close to us. |
This years' Women's Advance will be held Friday through Sunday, February
23rd through 25th at the Amish Door Inn in Berlin, Ohio in the heart of
Amish Country. Our speaker once again will be the ever effervescent
Linda Cochran whose candor with us, and love for the Lord is sure to
touch the heart of those who attend.
Years ago, when the NUMC Women's Advance began, we decided it was our
desire to get away for the weekend as women, but not to 'retreat'. We
want to 'advance' ourselves in our relationship with the Lord and with
one another.
Every year there is someone who was unsure of going, yet went and had a
life-changing experience. Every year there is someone who had a hard
time getting away, but it was worth it all because they had a beautiful
encounter with the living God.
This is a wonderful time to focus on who you are to the Lord, and to
work on your relationship with Him. This is a time to connect with other
women, both from our church and from outside our church, and to be
impacted by one another. Something happens when we get away from it all
and we acknowledge who we are to God and who He intends us to be.
Don't miss this years' NUMC Women's Advance - "The Seasons of a Woman".
The Advance is open to women of all ages. Look for Registration Forms
