ADVENT REMEMBRANCE SERVICE
Sunday, December 3rd
Sunday, December 3rd
The holidays can be a difficult time, especially after the death of a loved one – whether the loss was recent or many years passed. We believe it is important during the rush of the holiday season to take time to remember those who have made our lives richer by their presence. We will be having our annual Advent Remembrance Service on Sunday, December 3rd at 7:30pm. If you would like a loved one remembered in this service, please send an email to Bronwyn Craven at worship@numchurch.org. Include in your email the name of your loved one(s), along with their picture (jpeg format preferred) by November 21st. All are welcome to join us. Email Bronwyn with any questions.
FEATURED MINISTRIES
KEEP IN TOUCH – PRAYING FOR AND SUPPORTING OUR MILITARY
Wisdom, strength, and protection for those who serve our country… If you are a part of our congregation and currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces, or have a child/grandchild currently serving in the Reserves or full-time, please share their mailing addresses with the church office so we can keep in touch (eg, Meg Brown, U.S. Navy, Japan; Corey Anderson, U.S. Army, Dayton OH).
ENVELOPE CHALLENGE
Come alongside the youth group as we do the Envelope Challenge and raise money for our summer mission trip and our missions throughout the year! A table in the Narthex has envelopes numbering between 1 and 100. The number on the envelope you choose is the amount that would be placed inside. For instance, you’d put $3 inside envelope #3 and $98 inside envelope #98. When you have filled your envelope, please place it in the offering baskets for the youth! This will give the youth group the foundation to do what God calls it to do in the community.
PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY
Do you knit or crochet? Come and join us the first Wednesday of each month at 10:00am in the church parlor for our Prayer Shawl Ministry. We’ll have a short devotion, pray over projects we’re working on, and enjoy fellowship. Some shawls are already completed, so if you are aware of someone who is recovering from illness, surgery, or has suffered a loss, please let us know. For more information, see Lee Peters or Carolyn Valentine. Come help us bless God’s people with shawls of comfort.
